Due to the current economic climate, the AHMCI is raising for urgently required medical equipment for Greek and Cyprus based hospitals. Hospital budgets are constrained and require charitable assistance to service patients.

AHMCI successfully purchased a cardiovascular ultrasound and medical beds for the Ikaria Hospital. Ultrasound machine for the Halkidiki General Hospital, situated in Northern Greece.

AHMCI raised $100,000 to purchase medical products for the Burns Unit at Thriasio General Hospital in Elefsina near Athens due to the Mati fires and an endoscopy unit for the Aglaia Kyriakou Childrens Hospital in Athens.

The charity is raising for other hospitals in Greece as well as Nicosia (Cyprus) as determined by the medical advisory section of our board.

Hospitals and Doctors are experiencing difficulty in procuring medical equipment that is required for patients. Hospital’s lack funding and the medical staff are managing on bare necessities. Infrastructure and medical products are outdated and in short supply causing significant health risks to patients and unnecessary death.

The Doctors and Surgeons have compiled a checklist of required medical equipment. The charity is aiming at purchasing medical equipment for various Hospitals in Greece and Cyprus to provide necessary care for patients:

The charity is aiming at raising a minimum of $50,000 in the next few months to purchase medical equipment. By donating to the medical charity, 100% of your donation goes towards purchasing the necessary medical equipment that is required for the hospital to function and is 100% tax deductible.
